Two of my absolutely favorite people. Le has been my work advisor for a little over a year, and I worked with Danny for a while. They are two of the most genuine, kind, and funny people I know. I am deeply honored they chose me to document their relationship and engagement.
I have known this family nearly my entire life, and Chad and I knew one another through school. Such a great family, and beautiful kids!
Credit for this post goes to Jeanine at Fototails Photography. Jeanine wrote this post yesterday, publishing a letter she received from a client. Her client expressed what so many of us don’t realize until it is too late, and very quickly, this post is “going viral” on Facebook. I am reposting it here for my clients, friends, and family with the hope that you all may realize just how important portraits, snapshots, and images truly are to our loved ones.
A letter on my door step. Portraits are more than paper.

There will be no portrait photos in this post. This letter wasn’t mailed – it was at my doorstep when I got home a couple months ago. I read it, I cried, and read it again – probably a hundred times by now. It wasn’t easy to read – and honestly, as much as it validates what I do for a living – I wasn’t sure I was going to share it either – Until today, when a past client said that my print prices were too expensive. If you choose to read through the letter, you will know why I’ve finally chosen to share it. Continue reading
When I have photo sessions, they are usually high school seniors or families, and it seems like I am usually photographing girls, and very rarely do I get to work with little boys. One of my oldest friends was in town with his son for the Thanksgiving holiday, and we spent a morning having a photo session. Dean and Flint are the first father-son session I’ve ever had, and there is something so unique and wonderful about that connection and relationship. It was an honor for me to capture theirs.
I adore Sarah. She is one of my most favorite people on earth. I had the priviledge of meeting her entire family and taking pictures of them the weekend before Christmas. I had a blast, and I loved every minute I spent with them!
I work with Aaron. He and his wife, Jeanette, have five (yes, FIVE) very handsome boys. We met up a couple of weeks ago to take some images of their family.
Their boys are very close in age to our girls, and it was a lot of fun for me to see the similarities between girls and boys. I had a great time, and I hope they did, too.
This is the family of one of the teachers I work with. I’ve known Mom since my oldest was 18 months old, and this is the first time I’ve photographed their family. They really are a wonderful family; tons of fun!
Enjoy the sneek peek! Click on the images to view them larger.
I know you’re anxious to see your session proofs, so here’s a sneak peek! Enjoy!
My friend, Misty, is also a photographer, so we’re trading sessions. Friday night, we went out and I took her family pictures. Later on this summer when I can round up our whole crew and Misty is back from vacation, she is going to take our pictures. I don’t have my CD of images yet, so I swiped these off her blog and played with them a little. They are all so beautiful and sweet, they are very easy subjects to photograph! I can’t wait to see the rest!
This Cutie Patootie and her family have been *patiently* waiting for their pictures, and I am finally pulling my head out from under the holiday rush to share a few. This is Gabi, she is the spunkiest little girl I’ve ever met, and she’s one of the cutest! They were great to work with, and I hope they like their images as much as I do.
